The Interact Club of Genesis Christian College will be sleeping out at the school on 31st of July to raise awareness and much needed funds for the charity Backpack Bed for Homeless.
The Genesis Interact Club is a student lead club for secondary students from Years 8 to 12. Our mission statement is ‘Service Above Self’ and every year we strive to achieve this by hosting various fundraisers, participating in local community events and conducting specific projects throughout the year for what we believe to be worthy causes. In 2026, we have partnered together with Backpack Bed for Homeless - https://BackpackBed.org
Backpack Bed for Homeless, partners with over 1,100 homeless agencies across Australia for distribution of Backpack Beds and Fire Retardant Polar Fleece Sleeping Bags to homeless without shelter. This includes crisis accommodation, street doctors, outreach workers and other homeless services.
We would like to thank you, students and families for partnering with the Interact Club of Genesis Christian College, to raise awareness and much needed funds for this charity. Backpack Bed for Homeless is a national charity that provides Backpack Beds and Fire Retardant Sleeping Bags to homeless people without shelter.
The charity partners with over 1,100 homeless agencies across Australia. Awarded an Australian Human Rights Award by the Australian Human Rights Commission.
